Called to order at 6:31 pm. A quorum was confirmed.
Board members present:
- Gary Lauck, President

- Jill Albright – Select Representative
Homeowner’s Forum:
- Absentee vs. Proxy and hand-carried vs. mailed-in voting for Annual Election was discussed. Board mentioned that the Virginia Code had recently changed and that the an explanation will be posted to the website prior to the election.
- A question was raised regarding a new process necessitated by the Corporate Transparency Act for all new (and remaining) board members. The Board will decide if Select Group or the attorney will handle this going forward.
Secretary’s Report
- Prior meeting minutes were evaluated and approved unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report
- Operating funds, revenue and reserve totals were reviewed, explained, and approved unanimously.
Unfinished Business
- Timber Ridge violations were discussed.
- Gazebo Christmas tree and Santa visit were discussed.
- ‘Caroling and S’mores’ was discussed.
- Pollinator garden and beehive ideas were discussed. Concerns were raised about security, maintenance, and potential liability.
- A question was raised about the Christmas Party. Board responded that ‘it will happen’ – details to follow later.
Committee Reports
- Social:
- Approximately 40-50 people were present for the Halloween for Kids activity the previous Sunday.
- Christmas decorating contest dates/details to be determined.
- Need to identify a replacement for Carrie Lauck
- Landscaping:
- Pansies have arrived
- Committee is working on a long-term plan for tree replacement
- Discussed missing/stolen sign at Thoroughgood Trail.
- Broken streetlight and sidewalk issues were discussed.
- Communications:
- Johan has resigned as the Communications Committee Chair. A replacement is required. Board estimates that this position requires approximately 5 hrs per month.
