Annual Membership Meetings


In accordance with the  Virginia Property Owners’ Association Act, Section 55.1-1815: Access to association records; association meetings; notice, paragraph G. and the Association’s Bylaws, Section 1: Annual Meetings, the Church Point Homeowners Association holds an annual meeting in the Month of November.

Key points:

  • Annual Membership Meetings are open to HOA members of record.
  • Notice of the time, date, and place of each meeting shall be sent by United States mail, to each member of record, at least 14 days prior to such meeting.
  • To hold the meeting, a quorum (10%) of the membership is required.
  • If a quorum is not obtained, additional meeting must be scheduled until the quorum is obtained (Bylaws: “annual meetings SHALL be held“).
  • At such meetings, directors shall be elected, and other matters may be brought before the membership for their consideration.
  • At such meetings, members may vote in person, by proxy, or by absentee ballot.
  • As of December 2023, agendas and minutes of each meeting shall be posted on this website.

Annual Membership meetings are typically held at the Bayside Recreation Center (4500 First Court Road).
